Explore Wild Borneo and Visit Orangutan and Dayak Kudangan Tribe. Meet orangutan in its natural habitat, sail across Kumai River with traditional Klotok boat, visit Pundok Tanguy and Camp Leaky orangutan rehabilitation center, take short trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife, birds and other rainforest animals as well as tropical jungle plant. You will also visit Dayak Kudangan Village.

Itinerary :

Arrive at Pangkalan Bun, meeting service and start drive Kudangan dayak village for around 5 hours, upon arrive at Kudangan sightseeing around the village . After dinner involved with local peoples at welcoming ceremony to welcome you, you may take apart of the ceremony. Overnight at simple guest house. (L D)

Morning breakfast and start trekking for around 5 Kilometer. You will pass by several rivers that floating down from the mount. On arrival in Pedukuhan, the Dukun or Shaman will do welcome ceremony. This ceremony is used for welcoming guest before enter a new forest or new rice paddy. Enjoy your time to see the real local people activities. Here you could see Jurung (rice storage). Dinner and overnight at villager house (B L D).

After breakfast trekking up to see the water fall, enjoy your time and swimming around the water fall area. Back to the Pedukuhan, packing up and trekking down direct to Penyombaan Village drive back to Kudangan Village. Lunch will be served en route in the local restaurant. On arrival in Pangkalan Bun direct transfer to Kumai to board on the boat. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 17m by 2.5m with a roof which forms the upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the klotok while observe the monkeys along the riverside. Dinner and overnight on the boat. simple mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled “mineral” water, mosquito net, kitchen, simple toilet available on boat besides the familiar – helpful guides and boatmen. After breakfast board the klotok to travel up river to Pondok Tanggui rehabilitation center for orangutans, see feeding time at 09.00am, then up a side creek to Camp Leakey the rehabilitation and research center for orangutan. take short trek around the camp area and back to the boat for Lunch. At 14.00 back to the forest to witness feeding time for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Overnight on the boat. (B L D)

Breakfast on the boat then cruise down the river back transfer to Kumai and drive to Pangkalan Bun airport for next destination.(B)
